is a serie of illustrations created under the concept of "Next Level". All these illustrations were printed in the notebook the agency Von Helden und Gestalten sends as a gift to clients and friends for Christmas.
I was highly inspired by the 60s japanese retro illustrations. The big task was later to animate them all in only a few days! But I had a great time and I love this project so much.

The style
For this project, I explored a visual style inspired by Japanese magazine advertisements from the 1960s. Simple shapes and bold compositions were combined with halftone textures inspired by vintage manga printing techniques, giving the illustrations a nostalgic printed quality.
